Plot[edit | edit source]

Christine walks down the lane on a sunny morning, taking in the fresh air. Elaine rushes over and welcomes her to the neighbourhood. Christine smiles but her smile quickly fades when Elaine asks her why she moved to Digital Lane. Christine quickly tries to change the subject looking for something to talk about around her. She screams when she sees an arm at the side of the Cole house.

Christine runs over to an unconscious Frankie and shouts at Elaine telling her to phone an ambulance. Elaine dials 999 as she rushes to the front door and starts banging on the door. Wendy and Jack hear the shouting and screaming from outside and they come downstairs. Wendy opens the door and tells Elaine now is not the time as she wipes her eyes. Elaine tells her Frankie is unconscious. Wendy has a sudden flashback about telling Frankie to empty the bins when she was going to bed last night. Wendy and Jack rush outside and Wendy breaks down looking at her granddaughter. Christine tries to revive Frankie while the ambulance is on the way.

Maria and Abby come out of their house and rush over. Maria and Abby stare worryingly, “That could have been us.” Maria says. Abby tells her “No, someone was out to get her last night, no way would someone randomly attack her.” Maria asks Elaine if they is anything she can do to help but Elaine completely ignores her and walks over to a half dressed Stephanie.

Wendy says while crying, “It’s all my fault. I should have been taking out the bins not her.” Christine hugs her and tells her that there is a sick twisted person out there that would have done this to anyone. Jack runs onto the middle of the lane looking for the ambulance. Gracie and Brad emerge from the Foster house. Brad looks at Frankie nervously and quickly walks off and takes out his phone. Gracie holds her stomach and runs back into the house, pushing Sandy out of the way. Sandy makes nothing of it and walks over to her fellow housewives. The ambulance arrives and everyone walks onto the sidewalks to let it by. The paramedics rush out and jump over the picket fences. Wendy cries as the paramedics tell her she needs to go to hospital now. Frankie is put on a stretcher and they take her to the ambulance. Drew emerges from the end of the lane and watches as his girlfriend is taken away in an ambulance. Jack tells Wendy he needs to stay here for any news about the suppliers. Wendy asks Christine if she would come with her to the hospital. Christine looks over at her unfurnished house but agrees to go.

Jasmine shuts her curtains and rolls her eyes. “Silly woman on this lane, always looking for attention.” She tells Elena who is drying her hair. Elena smiles and tells her it will all blow over. Jasmine tells her that nothing is forgotten in this neighbourhood.

Wendy and Christine arrive at the hospital and walk to the reception desk. Christine looks nervously around and has a flashback.

Flashback: Christine walks out a hospital ward as screams and crying are heard from the inside the room. Christine takes off a label on her shirt, which says “Penelope Walker.”

Christine takes a deep breath and follows Wendy to the wards. Christine is about to tell Wendy she has to go but can’t say it as she can see how upset Wendy is. She comforts Wendy as Frankie is taken in for a scan. Wendy thanks Christine and tells her the lane isn’t usually like this and Christine says “Trust me, I’ve seen a lot worse.”

Back on the lane, the residents all sit drinking coffee and tea in the Collins house as they talk about the shocking events. Stephanie asks everyone to be quiet as she makes a speech. “Okay people, there is a twisted human being out there, he or she may be among us. Me and Sandy have arranged for there to be a neighbourhood watch, so if everyone would like to pick a shift to be on patrol on the sheet of paper. This person better watch their space, they are going down.” Drew and Brad look at each other suspiciously.
